What Happened to the Octopus?

Did any of you watch Emeril Live last night (Wednesday, Feb. 20)?
His guest brought an octopus to be cooked, and Emeril made a big deal of how you had to cook octopus in boiling water with wine corks, which dutifully happened.
However, halfway through the show, Emeril turned off the power on the octopus burner, and we never saw that dish again.
Wassup?
Wassup is that Emeril can’t cook octopus, so that dish was deleted.
Good thing Martha Stewart has to deal with Emeril’s shortcomings from now on.
