By "only" I refer to the fact that only in California could some off-the-wall loser come up with an unscientific diet and make big bucks from it, but that’s the tale of [tag]Judith Mazel[/tag] and her Beverly Hills Diet. Ms. Mazel died a week or two back at 63, but no one is ever going to say if her diet had anything to do with such an early death. To me, it certainly seems suspicious.
Remember the controversy when Dr. Robert Atkins died and weighed about 270 pounds after espousing his low-carb Atkins Diet for a long time.
Even diets don’t extend one’s lifetime, evidently.
I remember trying the Beverly Hills Diet. I did lose weight, but of course, once I tried to eat like a normal human being again, the weight came right back. The one thing I felt Ms. Mazel had correct was that one shouldn’t mix carbohydrate and protein in one meal.
Dr. Atkins would agree, saying you should eat only protein.
I’ll wait for the magic pill, I guess. After all, the first three letters of diet do spell die for a reason.
