First came the redemption and resurrection and then the sell-out.

Throughout "Gordon Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares" last night, a man named Peter, who inherited the Seascape restaurant in Islip, N.Y., from his father, struggled with summoning up the guts to take charge and make the place successful.

With Gordon’s assistance, Peter did just that.  Of course, it helped that a) Gordon kept prodding him and b) Gordon also arranged a complete makeover of the restaurant (who pays for these makeovers anyway, the production company?).

Ironic thing was, even though we all suffered through Peter’s personal demons, once the Seascape became successful, he sold it.  A brief notation at the end said only that he received "an offer he couldn’t refuse."

What, was he in debt to the mafia or something?

{PS I guess nutritionists really know their stuff.  I just read this fascinating article that extols butter, salt, red meat, sugar and other food stuffs often thought to be the bane of health and dieting.  The author, a nutrionist, also gives advice on how many grams of protein to consume each day for your ideal weight.  Great stuff!)
