He may have resigned because of a faked resume, but [tag]Joshua Adam Garcia[/tag], aka JAG or [tag]Jag[/tag], seems destined for a slot on Food TV sometime after the "controversy" settles down.

I make this prediction after rewatching the episode of The Next Food Network TV Star in which he resigned.  The producers gushed all over the place about what a great future he had, and as reader Anthony noted in an earlier comment, it seemed that they would’ve let him continue had he asked to do so.

Let’s face it:  Smooth over a few of Jag’s rough edges and he could be a heckuva host, a minority representative too for a change.  He certainly has more upside than any of the other contestants, including the winner.  I suspect someone soon will start developing a pilot for a show called Trust My Recipes, Not My Resume.

Hells Yeah!! Let’s get the BEST chef back to food network. I’m so bored with this channel, granted I love my Paula Deen, but that’s it!! We need a new flavor out there and JAG is the MAN!!! Good luck man, all of us here in Hard Hittin New Britain, CT are rootin for you!!!

Yeah… he needs to come back… JAG is great and very talented. So what if he’s had it a bit rough, who hasn’t, he probably lied since he knew the prejudice that goes along with the network. I’m soooo sick of some of the snobby chefs are on there that come from privileged lifestyle already. Spoiled Daddy’s girls that have not gone through half the crap JAG has, and these people get their own show!! like for example Giada
De Laurentiis… JAG needs to replace her and who’s this new Ingrid Hoffman… yet another example of ease and not paying their dues in life, Simply Deliciosa… PLEEEEAASE, give me a break people. VOTE FOR JAG TO BE BACK….. I’ll lead the movement if need be !!!!!!!!!! LOVE YA JAG :-)

Okay, he made some small booboo’s in his resume. Are we forgetting he came clean. There has to be forgiveness somewhere in this world and he’s entitled to at least that.
As a chef, he’s got the chops, confidence and the charisma to have a great show and I think he should have that chance.
He’s one of our ‘alumni’ here in Bergenfield, NJ!

    Shalom all!

I was so disappointed that Jag felt he had to resign but I do understand why he did and admire him for doing so. He made a mistake but he is an excellent chef…we all make mistakes and are given second chances…how about it FoodNetwork…???? He has a lot to offer…that will bring a whole new look to FoodNetwork.

Glad to see some JAG fans out there man. You guys are awesome, and all comments are true. I’m so sick of the crap that is on Food Network. Bob and Susie were stupid to do what they did. So what if JAG embelished a litte. Who hasn’t on a resume? The fact remains no matter where he was or wasn’t in the world, he was STILL protecting the Americans and the USA. He deserves props for that no matter what. And he’s got some crazy flair with his cooking, something this channel really needs. How many more shows can we see with Bobby Flay and Alton Brown.. Instead of giving them nine shows, give JAG the one he deserves, the one he proved he should have won.
