I owe this one to ESPN radio talk show host [tag]Colin Cowherd[/tag], who yesterday reported on the existence of deep-fried [tag]White Castle hamburgers[/tag].  Now, first, if you don’t know what White Castles are, let’s leave it at this–these are the original sliders, palm-size burgers with a hole in the middle of the patty for steam ventilation while cooking.

Like a good sleuth, I followed Colin’s trail, but….

I could find nothing about deep-fried White Castles.  However, a Web designer and hotel resort project manager in San Francisco by the name of Brian Sullivan claims to have perfected if not downright invented deep-fried hamburgers.  You can check his claim to fame out on his deep fry page at BriSull.com.

Meanwhile, if anyone gets more information on those deep-friend White Castle sliders, please post it here in comments.
